The first flights of this next phase are scheduled to arrive in Accra on Sunday, July 26, and Monday, July 27, 2026. The evacuation exercise will strictly prioritize citizens who have already registered with the Ghana High Commission in Pretoria to voluntarily return home with government assistance. Consistent with national policy, vulnerable groups will be given the highest priority, including women, children, the elderly, persons with medical conditions, and students.
The Ministry expressed special appreciation to the Church of Pentecost in Pretoria and Johannesburg, as well as Global Kingdom Investment Pty. Ltd., for allowing their premises to be used as free shelters for compatriots who fled their homes.
