The Ghana Police Service has intercepted 1,054 vehicles in the Greater Accra Region during an ongoing nationwide road traffic enforcement exercise targeting the unauthorised use of sirens, horns, strobe lights, beacon lights, and improvised vehicle modifications.

Drivers found in violation were educated on the relevant Road Traffic Regulations. Unauthorised devices and modifications were removed and seized for further action.

Nationwide Operation

The enforcement exercise forms part of the Ghana Police Service's commitment to promoting discipline, safety, and compliance with the Road Traffic Regulations. A total of 4,627 vehicles have been intercepted across the country since the exercise commenced on 15th June 2026.
