Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was the guest of honour at the fifth TOP CHARITY ChangeMAKERS gala in Warsaw on May 30, 2026, an event themed as "The Magic Kingdom of Asante" at the Royal Łazienki Museum. The evening raised roughly 85 million Polish zloty — about €20 million — the highest in the initiative's history, with auction proceeds doubled by the organisers Omenaa Mensah and her husband Rafał Brzoska, the InPost chief executive. The visit was the first by an Asante monarch to Poland and drew former Polish president Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Finance Minister Andrzej Domański and UNESCO Deputy Director-General Åsa Regnér.

The fifth TOP CHARITY ChangeMAKERS gala was staged as ‘The Magic Kingdom of Asante' at the Royal Łazienki Museum on May 30, 2026. The evening raised approximately 85 million Polish zloty — about €20 million — the highest figure in the initiative's history.

Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II arrived in Warsaw on May 27 for a five-day working visit and appeared as guest of honour at the gala. The visit was described as the first to Poland by an Asante monarch and was framed as a new chapter in Poland-Ghana cultural and diplomatic relations.

Matching the auction

Co-organiser Omenaa Mensah, who is of Polish and Ghanaian heritage, and her husband Rafał Brzoska — chief executive of the logistics company InPost — doubled the auction proceeds from their private funds, lifting the total to the record figure.

Polish political attendance

The gathering drew former Polish president Aleksander Kwaśniewski and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, alongside Finance Minister Andrzej Domański. Their presence signalled the level of Polish state interest in the visit.

UNESCO involvement

UNESCO Deputy Director-General Åsa Regnér joined the gala, signalling international cultural-heritage engagement around the Asante kingdom's diplomatic outreach in Europe.
