POLICE INTERCEPT 1,054 VEHICLES IN ENFORCEMENT AGAINST UNAUTHORISED USE OF SIRENS AND IMPROPER VEHICLE MODIFICATIONS IN GREATER ACCRA The Ghana Police Service has intercepted 1,054 vehicles in the Greater Accra Region during an ongoing nationwide road traffic enforcement exercise aimed at clamping down on the unauthorised use of horns, sirens, strobe lights, beacon lights, improvised vehicle modifications, and other related offences. Drivers found in violation were educated on the relevant Road Traffic Regulations, while unauthorised devices and modifications were removed and seized for further action. The enforcement exercise forms part of the Service's commitment to promoting discipline, safety, and compliance with the Road Traffic Regulations. A total of 4,627 vehicles have so far been intercepted across the country since the exercise commenced on 15th June 2026, and the Ghana Police Service assures the public that similar operations will continue nationwide to improve road safety and ensure strict compliance with the law.
